Requirements
- Each slide must have a title.
- Titles should not be duplicated; add (continued) or (1 of 2) or similar to each slide title (in smaller font size) so it is unique.
- Title should be short and concise so content will be easy to identify.
- Title should not be written in all capital letters.
- Title placeholder box should never overlap with content placeholder boxes. This interferes with the screen reader user experience.
Important Info
All Pearson template slides contain a title placeholder box. Default font and size is set at Arial, Bold, 36 point. Other acceptable fonts are Calibri and Verdana. Font size should not be smaller than 36 point. See Font Types and Sizes for more information.
If the title placeholder box is deleted by accident, do not manually add a text box from the ribbon (Insert > Text > Text Box). This type of text box is not accessible because it does not show up in the Outline view. Instead, replace the slide using a new slide from the Layout choices (Home > Slides > Layout).
Tips
Check the Outline View (View > Presentation Views > Outline View) to verify the title and contents of the slide show up properly. Images, charts, and tables do not show in Outline View. See Outline View for more information.
