When using the Notes Pane for long descriptions of images, prompt the user in the short description (e.g. Conceptual framework for learning. Long description in Notes Pane, press F6). See Alternative Text/Long Descriptions for more information.
When using the Notes Pane for other reasons, the user must be prompted by placing a note in the Properties/Comment section. For more information, see Accessibility Workarounds.
Keep information in the Notes Pane to a minimum.

The Notes Pane can be used for multiple reasons, such as:
Long descriptions of images
Additional author notes
Resources or references
By default, most screen readers do not automatically read the Notes Pane so the user must be prompted to this section.
The universal shortcut key to enter the Notes Pane is F6. This shortcut key may need to be hit multiple times as it moves you through the main sections of the screen.
